Former WWE star Charlie Haas was spotted looking in bad shape recently
Former WWE superstar Charlie Haas raised concerns amongst worried fans after he was almost unrecognizable in a recent interview.
Haas is famous in the wrestling circuit for his two stints with WWE. He won the WWE Tag Team Championship thrice; twice with Shelton Benjamin, and once with Rico.
He was famously a member of Team Angle with Benjamin and Kurt Angle. Haas had a productive tenure with WWE until being released from his contract in February 2010.
Haas married fellow professional WWE wrestler Jackie Gayda in 2005. The couple went on to have four kids together.
Fans share concern after seeing Charlie Haas in latest interview
Haas appeared recently on the latest episode of The Hannibal TV. At the start of the interview, the host asked him the reason behind his near unrecognizable look.
In the video, Haas can be seen with a shaved head. Not only that, the 48-year-old seemed to have lost a lot of muscle mass as well.
Explaining the reason behind it, Haas revealed to his fans that he had gone through a divorce with wife Gayda.
“[I] went through a divorce. It was really tough for me and the kids.”
Haas and Gayda were married for 15 years and became a team in WWE. They became fan favourites during their time together and post-WWE also started several business ventures.
Haas stated that he needed to get into a better cardio shape and hence decided to lose weight. He now weighs 215 lbs. and sports a shaved head, which is in stark contrast to what WWE fans remember from a decade back.
Haas further revealed that he is now teaching amateur wrestling to children in kindergarten all the way up to high school.
The former WWE star actually maintained that he is happy with the shape that he is at the moment.
“It’s a different look, but it fits me, so I’m happy.”
Wrestling fans, however, were left shocked at seeing Haas in such a worn-out state and shared their concern on social media.
