WWE finally confirmed the return of Carmella as the mystery SmackDown woman
WWE let out one of its worst-kept secrets on this week’s SmackDown. Fans had been teased with a blonde woman making a return on the Blue brand and it was revealed to be Carmella.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion had been out of action for a while. However, the Princess of Staten Island was repackaged by WWE and she seems to be a heel now.
Carmella’s attire has also changed and it will be interesting to see what is next for her. She did hit out at the fans for not being there for her, and that could be one route WWE will see her follow.
Fans not surprised by reveal
Normally, the reveal of a new superstar or even a repackaged one is filled with excitement and curiosity.
However, that wasn’t the case with this one. WWE had teased fans a lot with vignettes of the superstar and many had already predicted that it was going to be Carmella.
The legs, tattoo and blonde hair were a giveaway, even though some believed it would be Eva Marie or even Melina, for some reason.
Nevertheless, it is great to see Mella back on TV. She is one of the most talented women on the roster and she had been missed on TV a lot.
It will be interesting to see if there is any change with regards to her move set given that she is being projected as a heel.
There is no news of when she will wrestle on SmackDown but not many fans were excited with the reveal.
