Finn Balor lost to Xavier Woods in the final of King of the Ring
The King of the Ring tournament finally came to it’s closure at last night’s WWE Crown Jewel PPV. In a match which saw Finn Balor take on Xavier Woods to be crowned as the name suggests, King of the Ring.
The match, however, resulted in a defeat for Balor and saw Woods become the King of the Ring. Balor did not let this defeat get to his heart and reacted to it on Twitter where he said:
“Not the King But always the PRINCE #BálorClub”
Balor is still upbeat even after loosing to Woods. The match was toe to toe before Woods avoided a Coup de Grace from Balor and instead hit him with limit break elbow to get a pinfall victory.
The Crown Jewel PPV was the second event in a row where the Prince fell just short. Prior to this, Balor lost to Roman Reigns at ExtremeRules in a WWE universal championship match. He will certainly look to bounce back from this defeat as well.
