Could we see former Divas Champion Paige come out of retirement and return to WWE?
Former WWE Superstar Paige is a part of the infamous Knight Family, famous in the Norwich area for their family wrestling promotion. She is the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion, who held the title for 301 days.
Recently, WWE moved Paige to the current section of superstars involved with the company, giving us the idea that this former Divas Champion is returning to WWE after being away from the company for many years.
Paige moved to current section!
She is the youngest WWE Divas Champion. However, during 2015 and 2016, Paige went on a hiatus due to injury, undergoing neck surgery in October 2016. In December 2017, she suffered an impact injury to the neck at a match, preventing her from competing further. As a result, she retired from the in-ring competition in 2018 at just 25.
WWE Superstar Paige still wants to return to the ring at some point in future
Recently we saw two of the biggest superstars, Edge and Bryan Danielson, return to action after career-ending injuries. These returns have inspired Paige to return the ring in the future.
She recently took to Twitter and addressed the fans that she is not lazy but still needs some time to return as her neck needs to recover.
It’s wild that some people are like “well edge and Bryan came back you are just lazy” I’m inspired by them. I’m not lazy. My neck needs to recover. We are all built different. Sorry fam.
Former Divas Champion Paige revealed on her Twitch channel that her WWE contract was set to expire in June of 2022. So if she returns again, then her contract will be renewed.
She has posted several times and hinted at her return someday in the future.
