Sean Ross Sapp of fightful.com took to Twitter and mentioned Shane being a part of the Rumble and playing an integral part.

Though he wasn’t listed as a producer internally for the Royal Rumble, he helped put the match together, which he’s done before in the past. We’re told he was integral in a lot of changes in a match that was already heavily changing as is.”

Former Impact Wrestling star Nick Aldin took to Twitter and reacted to Shane’s release as he replied to a tweet that WWE posted on Shane’s return at the Rumble. Aldis mentioned, “aged like an Avacado.”

“This tweet aged like an avocado.”

Shane McMahon was out of WWE for a long time

McMahon made his return to WWE after a hiatus of almost a year. He entered the Royal Rumble at No.28 as a surprise entrant. He reportedly was in a part-time talent contract and was not employed as an executive.

It has been reported by Dave Meltzer that there was a lot of heat on Shane after his role as a lead writer and producer of the Men’s Royal Rumble match. It has also been said that this was “the talk of WWE.”

Shane tried to “openly bury Jamie Noble” and tried to book the Rumble around himself.” Not only that, McMahon was convincing, and he put himself over other wrestlers and was even fighting with people to do so. He also did quite a few changes for Bad Bunny.
