The Rock send some heartfelt message for WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart
The Great One took to Twitter and some heartfelt message for WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart for mentoring him early in his career.
Rock recently made a special appearance to honor Hart during Canada’s Walk of Fame 2021, which featured Hart as one of the inductees.
Brahma Bull mentioned that Hart was a mentor to him in the intense world of pro wrestling. He said of being grateful for the guidance that Hart gave him.
“My pleasure, Bret Hart was a mentor to me when he didn’t have to be and in our wild and intense world of pro wrestling, there weren’t many “mentorship programs” back then He gave me guidance and I’ll always be grateful. Congrats my friend on your incredible accomplishment.”
Rock wasn’t the only name from the wrestling world making an appearance for the big night as former WWE Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho also delivered the induction speech.
Hart recently became the first to be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame. The ceremony for the event featured some unique videos from old friends of Hart, including The Rock.
It was not the first time that Rock expressed his admiration for Bret Hart. He has always mentioned that the Hall of Famer has always been kind to him and has been a mentor to him from the beginning of his WWE career, late in 1996.
“@TheRock is a true classic act. He took the time to not only pay his respects to @BretHart but he explains the impact The Hitman’s had on his pro-wrestling career to Emily Blunt. This is by far the greatest moment I’ve had doing this… Thank you, Rock!”
Bret was the face of WWF during the New Generation Era. The Hitman has held 32 championships during his tenure in WWE and WCW, including a five-time WWF Champion.
