Details of the Gable Steveson WWE contract have been revealed
Gable Steveson, an Olympic Gold medalist, signed a contract recently with the WWE. Further details of the contract have been revealed. The contract states that Steveson will be allowed to defend his NCAA title and also attend University of Minnesota for his senior year.
The contract is a multi-year one but the exact length of the deal unknown. It is a special contract in many ways as the WWE is allowing him to still compete for the University of Minnesota and defend his title. WWE is also set to make up a remote training facility for the 21-year-old near his college campus.
The training facility will allow him to polish his skills for the in ring appearances. He will make his ring debut after he finishes his college. But can appear in the WWE during that time as well.
Did Gable Steveson reject UFC?
It was also reported that Steveson had some interest from the UFC as well. The Olympic Gold medalist had a meeting with Dana White. UFC wanted him to gain some MMA experience by fighting regionally. Then he was supposed to appear in Dana White鈥檚 contender series to fight and earn a contract from the UFC.
Steveson decided to pass on this opportunity and decided to go ahead with WWE. He had a meeting with Vince McMahon and also appeared at WWE SummerSlam just days before signing a multi-year contract with WWE.
Steveson is set to make his WWE appearance soon and the fans wait eagerly to see what the future holds for him as a WWE Star.
