Former WWE star Jack Gallagher signs for Bare Knuckle FC
Former WWE Superstar Jack Gallagher, aka Jack Claffey, has been announced as the newest member of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship; a bare-knuckle fighting promotion that is based in the United States.
BKFC took to their Facebook page and announced that Gallagher would be making his debut in mid-2022.
Jack Gallagher was released by WWE last year
Gallagher was released by WWE in June 2020 after he was accused of sexual assault by women as a part of the #SpeakingOut movement. After his release, Gallagher took responsibility for his actions which happened at a New Year’s Eve party in 2014, and even apologized to the woman who accused him of the assault.
This is what he has to say, and he, in fact also mentioned that he proactively contacted the Head of WWE talent relations to take responsibility for his actions.
“In 2014, at a New Year’s Eve party, I met a young woman, and my behaviour towards her was inappropriate. As this party was nearly six years ago and I had drunk quite a larger amount of alcohol that night, unfortunately, I do not recollect what happened. I wish to make it clear that drinking is not an excuse for my behaviour that night. I want to express my deepest regrets, and I am genuinely sorry for the upset that I have caused. “Following this allegation, I proactively contacted the Head of WWE Talent Relations to take responsibility for my actions, as I was aware that the woman who made the allegations and I had both attended the same New Year’s Eve party. I was then informed that this would be a breach of the company ethics policy, and this is what led to my release from my contract with the WWE. (h/t Wrestling Inc)
Jack is a former 205 WWE Live star signed by WWE in 2016. He made several challenges for the NXT UK Title against the likes of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne.
