WWE legend Bill Goldberg suffers injuries after the match against Bobby Lashley for WWE Championship at Summerslam

The SummerSlam main event title match between Goldberg and Lashley ended via a referee stoppage after Lashley injured Goldberg’s knee. However, even after stopping, Lashley continued attacking the challenger’s knee with a chair.

A recent digital-exclusive video of WWE saw Goldberg limping to his truck and told the cameraman that he would have knee surgery. In addition, he no longer cares about the WWE title and will rip Lashley apart for attacking his son.

 Goldberg stated :

“I’ve got ligament damage, and I have impending knee surgery – does that answer your question? I really don’t care.

“But what I do care about is that dirty son of a bitch Bobby Lashley and what he did to my son at SummerSlam. I just left the house. Gage’s shoulder’s all jacked up. His neck hurts. God knows what a dude that size could have done to my son. So, the objective’s changed. I’m not coming for the WWE championship. I’m coming for Bobby Lashley’s soul – and I will rip it straight from his chest.”

Goldberg’s 15-year-old son Gage, who was quite involved throughout this Summerslam event, also got some beatings along with his father from Lashly.

During the event, he was sitting at ringside, stormed to the ring for his father, and jumped on Lashley’s back, but he just slammed him into the mat, and Lashley gave the vicious Hurt Lock to Gage with Goldberg being down. Gage still has some spasm on his back, as mentioned by Goldberg in the digital exclusive.

If reports are believed, we might get a second Goldberg vs. Lashley match when WWE returns to Saudi Arabia on Oct. 21 for Crown Jewel. However, this time the WWE hall of famer will be coming for a win.
