WWE Legend Goldberg wants to open more opportunities for his son Gage
It was reported earlier that WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has only one match left on his WWE contract. However, the 55-year old did an interview with Sports Illustrated (h/t Wrestling Inc) where he was asked if he expects the upcoming match to be great.
Goldberg said that he always focuses on what’s coming next rather than thinking way ahead and also mentioned that he is ready for more matches if the company wants.
“I’m focused on what’s next. If they want to come back to me with something, we’ll talk. You never know what the future holds.”
Bill Goldberg talks about his son Gage Goldberg
Since Bill’s in-ring career is probably coming to an end. He talked about opening up new opportunities for his son Gage who was involved in the Goldberg-Bobby Lashley storyline last year.
He also mentioned that it was not easy to do this at his age, but for him, the prize was worth it, and if he continued to provide opportunities for his son, that would be great.
“As a power wrestler, it’s tough. It’s not easy to do this at my age. But I knew that, and I said the hell with it. For me, the prize is worth it, and that’s to open up opportunities for my son. If I can continue to do what I’m doing and continue to provide opportunities for him, then I’ll consider this a success.”
Former WCW World Champion thanked WWE for giving him adequate time to prepare for the No Holds Barred Match at Crown Jewel. He also said that he loves Bobby Lashley and wanted to work with him for years.
It would be interesting to see when WWE plans to have the legend’s final match, as it can happen at WrestleMania 38 in April.
