Mick Foley was impressed by Samoa Joe recently on Raw

Mick Foley, the former WWE wrestler took to Twitter in appreciating the commentary skills of the currently injured Samoa Joe.

Joe had a stint on the Raw commentary team, but he returned to the ring. After a few weeks of action, Joe picked up a concussion while filming an advert,

The 40-year-old has been plagued by injuries during his WWE tenure, which began in 2015 when he signed a deal to perform for NXT.

Joe, who got the call to the main roster in 2017, missed the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania in 2018 after suffering a foot injury that kept him out for more than three months.

Last year, Joe suffered a broken thumb that caused him to miss nearly four months until his return in December.

Joe has been fighting alongside Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders in their rivalry with Seth Rollins, Murphy and AOP before getting injured. Now, Rollins has moved on from the feud and is now up for a title match against Drew McIntyre at Money In The Bank.

Joe has been a significant part of one of the biggest angles on Raw off late, and his injury came at an inopportune time when WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Florida, was just over a month away.

Joe to remain on commentary duty for a while?

Foley had some great words for the Samoan Submission Machine. And it is great seeing him take up a different role.

He did a pretty good job on the commentary desk on this week’s Raw. Joe brought out a lot of technical information regarding what was going on in the ring.

Joe was great with his microphone skills in the past too. Hopefully, his injury isn’t something serious and he can get back to wrestling soon.
