Humberto Carrillo couldn’t land a move properly against Sheamus and an update has been provided on his injury

Sheamus and Humberto Carrillo continued their rivalry on WWE Raw. The US Champion has been on a bit of a tear since winning the gold and Carrillo has challenged the Irishman several times.

However, this match didn’t go as planned as Carrillo couldn’t land a move properly. He couldn’t land Sheamus properly on the floor and the sunset bomb was botched a bit.

Sheamus landed on Carrillo and the young star was clearly in pain. The referee came from the ring to check on the two stars, and the match was handed to Sheamus since Carrillo couldn’t continue.

The youngster also seemed to have trouble standing up and there were fears that he could have picked up a serious injury.

That would have been really bad news for Carrillo as he had been inactive for a long time. However, reports suggest that things are alright with him.

Humberto Carrillo might not have picked up an injury

PWInsider (h/t Wrestling Inc) claims that multiple sources in WWE and Raw confirmed that Carrillo was OK.

WWE haven’t released a statement on the condition of both stars. However, they did confirm that the match was won via referee stoppage and alluded to the fact that Carrillo was unable to continue after his move.

Hopefully, the high-flyer isn’t out for long and this update does seem to be positive. Carrillo was one of the bright spots in WWE last year but things just didn’t click for him.

He seems to be more confident on the microphone now and maybe this will help him get more chances to feature on Raw.

Sheamus and Carrillo is a great battle and it will be interesting to see what is next for them.
