AJ Styles doesn’t want to take all credit for TNA’s TV Ratings during glory days

WWE Superstar AJ Styles has claimed that he wasn’t alone responsible for taking TNA to great heights during his time with the promotion.

Styles enjoyed a sensational 12-year run with TNA, having signed with the promotion back in 2002. During his time with the company, Styles held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship three times and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice.

‘The Phenomenal One’ was also the inaugural titleholder of the X Division Championship, which he won six times. Styles is the first professional wrestler to complete the TNA Triple Crown (five times) and the TNA Grand Slam (two times).

Styles – the cornerstone of TNA

AJ Styles has been described as the cornerstone of TNA, having helped build the promotion brick by brick during his time with the promotion.

And recently, a fan pointed on Twitter that TNA wouldn’t have reached the heights that it did during that period, if not for ‘The Phenomenal One’. AJ, though, humbly denied the claim, insisting that TNA had some great talent during the time.

Indeed, the TNA roster was stacked with some great wrestlers as Styles mentions. Samoa Joe, Eric Young, Kazarian, were some of the talents that were lighting up the stage at the time. But it cannot be denied by that Styles’ star power played a huge role.

Having left TNA in 2014, Styles had stints with Ring of Honor (ROH) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), before he signed for WWE in 2016.

AJ Styles is the WWE Intercontinental Champion
