Sasha Banks is one of the five challengers for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s title

WWE SmackDown had one major announcement this week with Sasha Banks in the middle of it.

The Boss has been a great partner for Bayley since her return from injury. Bayley has held onto the SmackDown Women’s title for a long time and Banks has helped her keep the title too.

However, things took a turn for worst on Friday as Paige confirmed a six-pack challenge for Bayley’s title at WrestleMania 36.

Lacey Evans, Naomi, Dana Brooke and Tamina are four of the challengers for the title. The bombshell came right at the end as Paige announced that Banks would also challenge Bayley for the crown.

Banks looked shocked as she would have to go against her best friend in the ring, and was asked to share her reactions after SmackDown:

“I mean, did you watch? Did you see it? I don’t know. I mean, I have to go get gear, No. 1. I have to get my hair down, my nails done.”

Banks looked really upset at the match being called and tried to make a swift exit. She also blasted Paige before sharing her love for Bayley:

“You know what? I have to go, I have to go pick up my dog because I am late.

“Leave me alone. I hate Paige. I hate her, I love Bayley.”

A twist in the tale

Having Banks battle in the six-pack challenge is a genius move from WWE since Bayley’s title reign hasn’t been all that great.

They have a few weeks to build up this storyline and it will be interesting to see if this drives a wedge between the two friends.

Banks is a former champion and might have her eyes on the title. That could be enough to break their friendship, especially on a night such as WrestleMania 36.
