Brock Lesnar recently walked out before this week’s SmackDown. Is the following in Vince McMahon’s footsteps?

Just after Vince McMahon’s retirement announcement on social media, Brock Lesnar also walked out before this week’s WWE SmackDown.

Hours before the show Bryan Alvarez on Twitter noted that Lesnar has decided to follow the footsteps of McMahon and has reportedly walked out which has left his WWE future in question.

Brock’s line was some derivative of, “If he’s gone, I’m gone.”

Some reports also suggested that WWE was even considering replacing The Beast Incarnate for the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event.

According to Fightful Select, the Lesnar situation was being described as “overblown” and the former WWE Universal Champion eventually decided to return.

“WWE had pulled Brock Lesnar from advertising as they weren’t sure that he’d be at the show. However, we’re told that things blew over, and Lesnar returned. One source called the situation “overblown” but admitted they didn’t know if he’d end up being on the show. The script was re-written and didn’t feature Brock Lesnar at all. The rundown also did not feature Lesnar, and the last segment was left in a way that Lesnar could be included,” the Fightful reported.

The Beast Incarnate did appear in the final segment of the show and got over Theory. Now we can say that Lesnar will indeed challenge the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship as planned.

Former WWE personality gave his take on Brock Lesnar’s return on SmackDown

Brock Lesnar made his presence on SmackDown. This was his first appearance since June 17th when he interrupted The Bloodline after The Head of the Table’s win over Riddle.

On the recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk, former WWE Personality Dutch Mantell gave his take on Lesnar’s return. He claimed that he wasn’t expecting The Beast Incarnate to show up.

The ending was good because you had Brock [Lesnar] come back in. I wasn’t expecting him to come in. They kind of laid that out good. He’s going after Theory. That was probably the best part of the show. But it’s nothing different from what we’ve seen for the last year. It’s the same stuff with the same people, over and over, over and over,” Mantell said [27:41 – 28:07]

Lesnar will be facing off against Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam. This could certainly be the last match between this duo at WWE.
