Chris Jericho is an AEW star but could he be hinting at a WWE return?
Chris Jericho is one of the greatest talents in wrestling history. Le Champion, as he is known in AEW, has won titles in every promotion he has performed in.
While he is one of the pillars in AEW, his recent tweet suggested that a move could take place. Kevin Owens and Jericho had one of the greatest WWE storylines in recent memory.
The List and the Festival of Friendship got a lot of people talking before KO attacked his friend in a huge twist.
This was one of the most enjoyable segments in WWE almost five years back, and KO decided to walk down memory lane.
He posted a picture of himself and Jericho before he would go and attack Le Champion. As expected, the pair did face-off finally at WrestleMania 33, and in fact, this should have been for the Universal title.
However, WWE ensured that KO didn’t keep the title and the pair fought for the US title instead.
Nevertheless, KO was remembering his days with Jericho, and it was Le Champion that tweeted that he just might meet the WWE star in the future.
The fact that Cody Rhodes recently left AEW and there are rumours of him heading to WWE could lead to some believing that Jericho could follow suit.
Jericho has done a lot for AEW and he is now doing more commentary than in-ring action. He has also returned to WWE several times in the past and another one might not be out of place.
However, he is still under contract at AEW, and it would hurt Tony Khan a lot if another pillar of AEW left the company to join WWE.
Owens, for his part, recently signed a new multi-year deal with WWE. It is unlikely he would be joining AEW anytime soon either.
Strange things have happened in the world of wrestling, and it will be interesting to see if Jericho really does end up in WWE in the future.
