Mark Henry gave his thoughts on Roman Reigns not feature on WWE shows anymore
One of the biggest shocks ahead of WWE WrestleMania 36 was Roman Reigns pulling out. The Big Dog was to fight Goldberg for the Universal Title. However, he backed out of the clash due to the fears over the coronavirus pandemic.
Leukaemia patients are more at risk of contracting the virus, and it made sense for Reigns to not risk it all.
He came out with a video explaining why he did what he did, however, former WWE star Mark Henry didn’t believe that was the case.
Henry was speaking to Helen Yee and was asked where the former champion would go once he came back:
“I think he’ll go right back to where he was. He is not going to cease to be Roman Reigns. It’s just the pandemic, he’s in jeopardy.”
Henry also claimed that WWE pulled Reigns out of action to avoid any serious problems:
“That’s where Roman is. I can guarantee it wasn’t Roman that didn’t want to do it, it was the WWE that said ‘Hey, it’s not worth it.’”.
Henry also spoke about other family members from the Reigns family. The former WWE star spoke about how he worked with the legendary Yokozuna, who was Reigns’ uncle.
Rosey, another WWE star that passed away recently too and did not want another family member to lose their life while wrestling.
“We don’t need another of Roman’s family to be gone, it’s just not worth it.”
Henry went on to say it was better to have a long career after covid-19 than getting infected, which would also be a catastrophe for the business and the family.
Reigns might have missed out on the title at WrestleMania 36 but he will have more chances in the coming months.
Hopefully, the coronavirus situation improves and we get to see the Big Dog in action soon. Braun Strowman is the current champion, but it would have been Reigns had the decision to pull out of WrestleMania not happened.
