Killian Dain and Drake Maverick might be getting along on NXT but the pair certainly aren’t a typical tag team
Killian Dain and Drake Maverick were back again on this week’s WWE NXT as the pair took on Ever-Rise.
Maverick has been the butt of all jokes for a while and Rise took a shot at him last week. However, Maverick attacked the pair and claimed only he could beat up Drake.
This led to the pair taking on Ever-Rise this week. However, it was Maverick that had the last light. He went a little berserk and attack his rivals, which impressed the bigger man.
Maverick and Dain don’t look like a regular tag team and they have had their issues in the past. However, Maverick using a steel chair on Ever-Rise certainly caught the attention of a few WWE stars.
Hey, donkey!
Keith Lee, a former NXT Champion, was impressed by the pair and tweeted how much he was enjoying watching them.
However, Viking Raiders star Ivar, took brought out a hilarious comparison of the big and small man.
Ivar suggested that they were the Shrek and donkey of 2020, and it was a brilliant comparison.
Shrek and donkey 2020

For those not in the know, Shrek was one of the top animated movies from the early 2000s and the huge green ogre had a fun sidekick in a donkey.
It was part of a hilarious set of movies with Shrek and his friend taking on a ton of fairytale stories. Shrek was the larger of the pair and was always angry while donkey served as the comic relief.
The donkey was also beaten up by Shrek several times, and that is something that we have seen from Maverick and Dain too.
The pair have been something different on NXT but Ivar’s comment will stick in the mind of most WWE fans now.
