WWE star Jake Atlas retires from wrestling due to mental health issues

WWE wrestler Jake Atlas announced his retirement from professional wrestling due to mental health issues. Atlas took to his Twitter account and said about his mental health issues and also said that he wants to explore new opportunities in different industries.

Atlas also told the media not to take interviews as he’d like his privacy to be respected. Instead, Atlas wants to find his new passion again.

The former WWE thanked everyone for his support for five years and stated that mental health should be taken seriously.

“I’m not concussed or “banged up.” I simply just can’t keep going anymore. Take your mental health seriously, both for yourselves & for each other, because we only have one life to live. Thank you to anyone who did support me for 5 years. I didn’t do much, but what I did was fun.”

“I’m stepping away from wrestling completely right now so please don’t ask me to do interviews/appearances. I’d like my privacy to be respected. At 26 years old, I’ve got my entire life ahead of me & I’m choosing to explore completely different industries to find my passion again.”

WWE superstar takes early retirement

Atlas took retirement from WWE today due to mental health issues. He made his pro wrestling debut in 2016 and the youngster played for various independent wrestling circuits. 

He was signed by WWE in 2019 and appeared on a WWE-themed episode of Celebrity Undercover Boss. 

Atlas also went on to make his debut for NXT in 2020. He was released from WWE on August 6, 2021 but did thank the company for helping him in dealing with mental health issues.
