Raw superstar Jeff Hardy recently tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out of the upcoming events for a while
Karrion Kross is the reigning WWE NXT Champion, currently in his second reign. ‘The White Rabbit’ has been an indomitable force in the black and gold brand, ever since he signed with the promotion in February 2020.
A week ago, on the 19th July episode of Monday Night Raw, Kross made his main roster debut. In fact, he had appeared once before on Raw, back in February 2015.
Kross took on WWE veteran Jeff Hardy, and was defeated by a rollup. It was the NXT Champion’s first-ever pinfall loss in his WWE career.
Rumors were afloat that the NXT Superstars were extremely unhappy with the way Kross’ main roster debut played out. They were totally displeased with the way Kross lost in a tame encounter. Going by the general consensus, the move by the promotion was a bottle job.
The WWE could have messed it up yet again with another Karrion Kross loss
Had it not been for Jeff Hardy’s positive COVID-19 result, Karrion Kross could have found himself facing yet another embarrassing loss in the main roster.
Hardy recently tested positive for COVID-19, and is expected to be out of action for a while. His last appearance was against Kross on the 19th of July.
According to Fightful Select, Kross would have lost back-to-back bouts against Hardy, in successive weeks. But, Hardy testing positive for the virus altered the plans.
Who would know, how things would have been backstage (NXT) if Kross had faced another loss against the same opponent?
