Jeff Hardy made his AEW debut on the March 9 episode of Dynamite coming to the aid of his brother Matt Hardy, who was being beaten down by AHFO.
The Charismatic Enigma has wrestled a few tag team matches alongside his brother since his AEW debut. However, as per the reports from Sliced Wrestling, Jeff has already reached out to WWE officials asking them to buy him out of his AEW contract.
But why is Jeff Hardy so eager to return to WWE leaving Tony Khan’s promotion in less than a couple of months?
The report claims that Jeff is not happy to be already sent to dark and dark elevation to work random 8 and 10 man tag team matches.
If the reports are true, then it won’t be a good advertisement for AEW. If he wants to return to the company so soon, it won’t be a good thing for the promising promotion.
In December, Jeff Hardy was released from his WWE contract due owing to an incident at a Live Event. WWE presumed that the incident was related to drugs.
During an episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy last month, Matt came to his brother’s defense revealing that WWE hadn’t even received the result of the drug test when they fired Jeff.
Matt also said during the podcast that WWE’s way of compensating for their mistake was to offer Jeff a Hall of Fame spot but as a singles competitor. Jeff, however, denied it as he wanted to be inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside his brother.
It would be interesting to see where Jeff ends up shortly. However, one thing is for certain his fan following is immense and they would want to see more of the high-flyer in whichever promotion he signs for.
