Former WWE Commentator reveals about Stone Cold Steve Austin not making big in his movie career
One of the greatest voices of the wrestling world, Jim Ross, recently took some fan questions on the latest episode of Grilling Jr. on AdFreeShows.com (h/t Wrestling News), where he revealed about Stone Cold’s movie career.
Ross started saying that it was Steve’s choice since he didn’t like doing movies much and was a reality show guy. He mentioned that Austin doesn’t want to give much time to production. The movie structure was not his cup of tea., Ross said.
Lastly, he said that even though Austin got many opportunities, he didn’t have much fun doing that.
“That was Steve’s choice. He didn’t like doing them. He’s a reality show guy. He’s a guy that likes to get the production done in a few weeks as opposed to a few months. So the structure on a movie set, the hurry up and wait, we’re not shooting today, we’re going to change this, we’re going to do that, was not his cup of tea. He didn’t have a lot of motivation for it. He tried it. He had some good opportunities. He had some good shots. He just didn’t enjoy it.”
The Rock and Batista have given some incredible movies, unlike Stone Cold Steve Austin
WWE Superstars Rock has been one of the biggest movie stars recently and one of the highest-paid as well. Having done quite a few good movies like Rampage, Moana, Fast&Furious series, and his new movie Black Adam will be releasing next year.
Dave Batista has also been part of some of the most significant Hollywood projects, like Marvel’s Avenger series, The Army of Dead, Guardians of Galaxy, etc. In contrast, Stone Cold has rarely done any movie. Instead, he mostly does shows and podcasts like Straight Up Steve Austin, Broken Skull Sessions, and his podcast “Stone Cold Podcast” is also quite popular.
