John Cena talks about living in a car before becoming the face of WWE
John Cena is an established Hollywood star after featuring in the WWE for years becoming a record-breaking 16 time World Champion.
Cena is promoting his new film F9: The Fast Saga, where he plays Dominic Toretto’s younger brother, Jakob. He is reportedly returning to WWE this year at SummerSlam to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
However, Cena got candid talking about his life before getting a chance in the best wrestling business in the world. He was speaking to the US Sun and brought up how he was living in a car before WWE came calling (h/t Wrestling Inc)
“I slept in my car for a while, which happened to be a very roomy 1991 Lincoln Town Car. I had my clothes in the trunk and I slept in the back seat.”
The leader of the Cenation worked in a gym but could not make ends meet with the job. He left home at a young age and struggled before making his WWE debut in June 2002.
Cena is also set to star as Peacemaker in the upcoming film The Suicide Squad. He has been missing from WWE since his loss to Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36. The return of Cena could be a big boost for WWE with The Rock and Brock Lesnar also likely to return in the near future.
John Cena opens up on becoming a parent in the future
Cena married Shay Shariatzadeh in late 2020 and has since then spoken on his possibility of having kids. The 44-year old was previously engaged to fellow wrestler Nikki Bella, but it was called off after a disagreement about kids.
However, now Cena is open to having kids calling himself a lot more ‘older’ and ‘wiser.’ He sees the possibility of having kids with his wife after earlier being married back in 2012.
“I’m realising there is life and life exists and it’s beautiful — and I think part of that is being a parent, so we’ll see.”
Cena is one of the most high profile names in the world and his stock continues to increase in Hollywood and the wrestling business.
