John Cena states change in decision over children after recent marriage

Former WWE Champion John Cena is now open to having children after his marriage with Shay Shariatzadeh. He was previously engaged to fellow WWE Superstar Nikki Bella but children was one reason why the marriage was called off.

In a recent interview with The Sun, he says: (h/t ComicBook)

“I’m a little bit older, a bit wiser. I’m realizing there is life and life exists and it’s beautiful — and I think part of that is being a parent, so we’ll see.”

Cena and Bella were a month away from their wedding when the engagement was called off. It is rumored that a big reason for that was the decision against having children. Bella, meanwhile, welcomed her first child, Matteo with fiance Artem Chigvintsev back in July 2020.

The F9 actor has been previously married in 2009 to Elizabeth Huberdeau, but they filed for divorce in three years. Cena has been in Hollywood, ever since moving out from WWE and becoming a part-timer with the company.
