WWE superstar John Cena talks about UFC King Conor McGregor
A recent appearance by WWE superstar John Cena in the That Scene with Dan Patrick (h/t WrestlingInc.) saw the sixteen-time WWE Champion speak about UFC legend Conor McGregor. He mentioned how McGregor’s mic work is similar to that of a pro-Wrestling Promo.
Cena was asked a question about how McGregor would do in WWE. He responded with utmost excitement that it would be fantastic and praised the Mystic Mac. Cena told on the show that he is a fan and desires to see the UFC legend perform in the WWE arena.
He was quoted as saying:
“He’d be fantastic.
“He is what we do. What he does is a little less predictable. Our surprises are getting people to show up at random and trying to weave the choose-your-own-adventure to a different alley. His surprises are getting a few teeth knocked out or getting an operation. Not to say that doesn’t happen with us. Mistakes happen with us. But in his profession, it is not a mistake. It’s a certainty.”
He also went on to say that he was a fan of the Irishman:
“I hope because I want to see it.
“At my core, I’m a fan, and he’s interesting. He has a gravity about him. I want to see him perform.”
Conor McGregor is out of the Octagon with an injury
The former two-division champion McGregor is not appearing in Octagon any time soon as he recently sustained an injury during a fight against Dustin Poirier at the UFC 264. Mystic Mac underwent surgery on his left leg to repair the fractured tibia and fibula.
McGregor posted a video on his Instagram about his injury, saying that he had stress fractures in his legs while going into the cage ahead of the trilogy with Poirier. The Irishman said he needed to get treatment on the shin bone; otherwise, he would have never committed to going under the knife.
