WWE to release John Cena NFTs this week ahead of SummerSlam 2021
WWE will release a John Cena Platinum NFT this Friday as SummerSlam comes to Las Vegas at the weekend. A 24-hour auction for the Cena Platinum NFT will begin on Friday. It appears there will be several Cena-related NFTs available for fans to purchase or bid on during the week.
This came after the NFT release during WrestleMania 37 weekend for The Undertaker.
The top bidder for the platinum tier will receive:
-A one-of-a-kind NFT;
-A once-in-a-lifetime experience for two at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas or WrestleMania 39 in 2023 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, including two front row tickets, unprecedented VIP access and hotel accommodations;
-A personalized WWE Championship Title Belt with the winner’s name engraved on the side plates;
-John Cena’s “Dr. of Thuganomics” style chain from WrestleMania 35.
Cena made his return to WWE at Money in the Bank and has been out of action for more than a year. His last appearance came at WrestleMania 36 when he faced Bray Wyatt. The return puts him against one of the best in the business, Roman Reigns.
Will John Cena create history?
John Cena is tipped to create history as he faces WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a blockbuster match at SummerSlam. Cena confronted Reigns saying that the pressure is on him, while all he has to get is a 1-2-3 to become a 17-time World Champion.
Reigns, meanwhile has been the Champion since August 2020 and is surely the best star in the business and will be the man to beat. The two have a past rivalry after Cena faced Reigns at No Mercy in 2017.
