WWE Superstar John Cena wants Eminem to write a verse for his theme song
Veteran WWE Superstar John Cena has been in the industry for quite a while, and we all know how popular his WWE theme song “The Time is Now” is. Cena arrived on WWE TV in 2002, and a few months later, he began rapping in his promos.
He was then called The Doctor of Thuganomics, a gimmick he would use for a few years and helped him find success as a top WWE Superstar in the making.
The sixteen-time WWE champion recently spoke in an interview about award-winning rapper Eminem when a fan made a remix of his “The Time is Now” theme song with Eminem verse in it.
The WWE champ praised Eminem, saying that he is one of the most gifted, prolific poets.
He was quoted as saying (h/t Wrestling Inc)
“I would simply have him write a verse,” Cena responded. “Because he’s one of the most gifted, prolific poets I’ve ever had the chance to listen to. I think if you gave him this music rather than rehashing something he made for a specific beat, I would like to think he would completely put me to shame by giving it his own Eminem touch. “So, Em, if you’re down to write some bars, borrow the track. It is a catchy tune. I don’t know, think about it. Mull it over, get back to me. Or don’t get back to me, whatever.”
We all know How Eminem is Legend and is known as the “The Rap God” around the world. Having won 146 music awards, including 15 Grammy Awards and 1 Academy Award, speaks of this man’s caliber. If this Eminem Cena thing happens for real, it would be a treat for WWE fans and all the fans across the globe.
John Cena recently returned to WWE after a long time
The leader of the Cenation made his surprising return to WWE and stood face-to-face against Roman Reigns after the main event of Money in the Bank 2021.
He challenged Reigns for the WWE Universal title at Summerslam, but unfortunately, things didn’t go on his way as The Big Dog successfully retained his WWE Universal title.
Cena was then destroyed by a returning Brock Lesnar after that, but things should be fine for the veteran as he has an acting career to look forward to.
