John Cena shares new trailer for Vacation Friends ahead of release next month
Former WWE Champion John Cena has revealed an ‘adult trailer’ of his new movie Vacation Friends.
Cena stars alongside Meredith Hagner, Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji. The movie will be streaming on August 27 on Hulu. The 16-time Champion recently returned to WWE at Money in the Bank and will feature prominently over the next few months.
Cena also features this year in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and was part of the F9: The Fast Saga cast. The raunchy comedy is a chance for Cena to show his easy-going side since Blockers, famous for his butt-chugging scene. In Vacation Friends, He plays one-half of a party couple, who crashes the wedding of Ron and Kyla (Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji), who they met in Mexico.
Cena in a new avatar is a breath of fresh air from his highest-grossing villain role as Dominic Toretto’s brother – Jakob.
John Cena’s shock return at Money in the Bank was welcomed by one of the loudest pops in recent WWE history. Cena returned to confront Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who he now faces at SummerSlam. It will be interesting to see Cena back after his last appearance came last year at WrestleMania 36.
Even though Cena is a part-timer in WWE, he still is one of the most loved athletes of all time. He is currently tied on 16 World titles with Ric Flair and will be desperate to break that record with a win. Cena is also returning at a time where fans are welcomed back in the arenas, after almost a year. It will be interesting to see how Cena v Reigns goes at next month’s big PPV – SummerSlam.
