John Morrison reacts as his wife Taya Valkyrie makes her NXT debut as Franky Monet
Kira Renee Magnin-Forster, better known by her in-ring name Taya Valkyrie, was the talk of WWE NXT this week as she made her much-awaited first appearance on the Gold brand.
Forster fought under the moniker of Taya Valkyrie for the past 9 years in various promotions worldwide, including Impact Wrestling.
But she appeared on NXT under a new name; Franky Monet. And watching her achieve her lifelong dreams was her husband, John Morrison, who congratulated her on Twitter.
The WWE RAW superstar wrote “I still can’t smiling!!! What a great debut & great episode of @WWENXT… @The_Prince_P can’t stop smiling either #WoofYeah!!! Congratulations @TheTayaValkyrie“
Monet is another massive addition to what many believe is the best women’s professional wrestling roster in the world at NXT.
And right of the bat, Monet was targeting the biggest prize on offer. She made an appearance on the show with her dog.
Monet then confronted Raquel Gonzalez, who is the NXT champion. Gonzalez was in the ring alongside Dakota Kai and threatened to her Monet’s dog.
But she didn’t, because she said she was in a good mood. Monet then exited the fray but it was clear that she will be inserted in the title frame now.
Many would argue that she is already accomplished enough to make it to the main roster. But working your way up from NXT is also not a bad option.
Especially considering how the Gold brand’s women division is so elite and will offer Monet a taste of what is to come if and when she takes the step up.
