Johnny Gargano continued his poor form of defending titles and lost the NXT North American one last night

WWE NXT star Johnny Gargano tried to ensure he kept his North American title last night but things didn’t go his way.

Gargano had defeated Damian Priest to get the gold and had set up a wheel to decide who was his next opponent.

There were some big names on the wheel but Gargano had help on his side. The wheel was spun and it landed on Leon Ruff’s name, something that Gargano ensured would happen.

Ruff had little chance of getting the gold but Priest interfered and cost Gargano the title. While the NXT triple crown champion was left upset at all this, he still had reason to celebrate.

Gargano was glowing on social media as he tweeted a picture of his latest prize. The former champion confirmed that he got hold of not one but two PS5s, something that is extremely hard to get.

Many top-end streamers aren’t getting hold of Sony’s latest games console and getting two was a heelish move for sure.

Gargano also got an extra controller and it seems he is going to enjoy a lot of web-swinging action with a brilliant game also being shown.

Many fans were envious of Gargano as getting the PS5 is an ordeal in itself. Online stocks are selling out quickly while getting one from a physical store is tough too.

Getting ready for another win?

Priest costing Gargano the gold should continue this rivalry. However, the former champion should also get a rematch against Ruff.

Gargano doesn’t have a great record of defending titles after winning them, and that was on show again last night.

While he lost something dear to him, getting a couple of PS5s should be decent consolation. Gargano can also anger a lot of people by showing off his new games console, especially given how difficult it is to capture one.
