WWE might be heading towards another Adam Cole like the situation with Johnny Gargano contract
Johnny Gargano, whose contract was set to expire on Friday, December 3 but now, according to fightful.com, Gargano has signed a one-week extension to his original deal. So now his official contract ends on Friday. December 10.
Gargano is involved in the NXT WarGames, which will be happening on Sunday, and it has made most of the fans wonder where he and WWE are standing now.
It was also reported that just like Adam Cole, WWE has spoken highly of Johnny, who is willing to extend his contract when other companies are likely interested.
Johnny Gargano contract situation is similar to that of Adam Cole
Adam Cole was a part of WWE, and during his last times with the company, there were rumours that WWE would extend his contract even though many other companies were there in the competition. Still, after a lot of hassle and tussle, Cole left WWE to Join All Elite Wrestling, and now the same thing can happen with Gargano as well.
However, Gargano is very excited about his match for NXT WarGames, which will happen on Sunday, December 5. He even commented on it last night on social media about making WarGames debut.
He was quoted saying, (h/t Wrestling Inc.)
“There’s one match that’s avoided me in my entire NXT career, but this year…it’s finally time. WAR GAMES!”
Several matches of WarGames includes Team Old School comprised of NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne and LA Knight taking on Team New School comprising Bron Breaker, NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’ Angelo and Grayson Waller.
