Johnny Gargano shares subtle hint on Daniel Bryan’s future after SmackDown loss

Daniel Bryan is now banished from SmackDown after losing to Roman Reigns

There was a lot on stake during the main event of this week’s WWE SmackDown. Daniel Bryan put his SmackDown place on the line while Roman Reigns put the Universal title from his side.

It always felt like Bryan had more to lose than The Head of the Table. Many WWE stars shared their prediction for this battle and they seemed split on who would come out on top.

Reigns snubbed Cesaro to challenge Bryan for another match which took place on SmackDown

The match was possibly one of the best of the year as Bryan put all of his best moves on Reigns. He even got Reigns in the Yes Lock but the champion was able to get out of it.

Reigns then got hold of Bryan and got the win but that wasn’t the end of it. He wanted to attack Bryan with a couple of chairs and Cesaro tried to make the save but that too didn’t happen.

This means Bryan’s time in SmackDown has come to an end but Johnny Gargano seemed to suggest that an NXT move could be in the offering.

Gargano and Bryan met several times outside of their careers in WWE and with Johnny Wrestling currently on NXT, this move would make some sense.

NXT has some of the best wrestlers in the business and Bryan taken on the likes of Gargano or Adam Cole or even Tommaso Ciampa would be 5-star matches.

Is Daniel Bryan leaving WWE?

Bryan has been open to the fact that he would want to wrestle outside talent more and his contract is also coming to an end.

Further, he recently lauded AEW star Kenny Omega and said that the AEW Champion sees things differently in the ring.

Bryan also knows that his retirement from wrestling is coming soon. He did make a great come back after a serious injury and reached the top of WWE by winning the title.

However, Bryan is a true wrestler and would probably want to take on some stars from outside of WWE before he retires.

It will be interesting to see if Bryan does call it quits from WWE or stays with them, but wherever he goes, he will be one of the top draws.
