Karl Anderson was one of the stars released by WWE recently in a cost-cutting measure

Former WWE star Karl Anderson was asked about his best times in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and he had a class answer for that.

Anderson was part of the Bullet Club during his time in NJPW. His tag team with Luke Gallows became one of the best in the business, and he left NJPW to join WWE in 2016.

That worked out well initially, but WWE never really gave them a real go. Gallows and Anderson were released recently from WWE, and the free agents are yet to decide where they will feature.

A fan asked which was Anderson’s best match in NJPW and the former IWGP tag champion claimed everything he did during his period in Japan was gold:

“Literally everything I did from 2008-2016 was f***** gold.

“No shit.

“Enjoy.”

Anderson had been very vocal of his treatment in WWE and even though he was used in the Boneyard Match, it was surprising he was released.

WWE not understanding tag teams?

Gallows and Anderson achieved a lot of success in Japan. However, they weren’t as lucky in WWE. Their release came on the heels of the end of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. The Revival were also let go but they recently signed for AEW.

Gallows and Anderson were excellent during their time in WWE, even if it was limited. They became two-time Raw Tag Team champions and should have been used a lot more.

Anderson has been vocal of a lot of his frustrations regarding WWE, and it will be interesting to see what his next actions are.

The pair are too good not to be involved in wrestling, and hopefully, we learn about their future promotion soon.
