Zelina Vega returned to the WWE after a brief gap of 8 months
Zelina Vega made a surprising return to the WWE after being released from the promotion only 8 months ago.
Refusal to stop streaming from her Twitch channel, which violated WWE’s policy was the reason why she was released back then.
On the 2nd July episode of SmackDown, Vega made her return and her participation in the 2021 Women’s Money in the Bank was confirmed soon after. She was also interrupted by Liv Morgan, and unfortunately ended up losing on her in-ring return.
However, she took to Twitter after the episode and announced that big things were coming up.
Elsewhere, SmackDown backstage interviewer and host of Talking Smack Kayla Braxton wasn’t happy following Vega’s return. She posted a couple of Tweets expressing her displeasure.
Her first Tweet read:
“No one asked me if I was okay with @TheaTrinidad returning… who do I need to talk to?”
Braxton also wouldn’t let Vega feature in Talking Smack, which is hosted by her:
“And now you’re telling me @TheaTrinidad is going to be on #TalkingSmack tomorrow? Is someone punishing me??”
Kayla Braxton and Zelina Vega’s animosity grew to new heights after Braxton refused to interview Vega.
In a video she posted later, Braxton revealed that Vega had poisoned Montez Ford, and hence she wouldn’t interview someone who had poisoned her co-star.
Two weeks prior to that Braxton featured on Vega’s Twitch Live. She was brutally attacked by Bianca Belair who broke into her home. The stream was watched by thousands of fans, and it turned out to be quite an embarrassing moment for Vega.
