Mustafa Ali revealed himself as the leader of Retribution in a shocking twist on Raw

WWE pulled an ace out of their sleeve by declaring Mustafa Ali as the leader of the Retribution faction.

Retribution had been causing all sorts of damage ever since they appeared on Raw a month or so back.

Retribution first made their presence felt on Raw (WWE)

They destroyed a transformer, wrecked a ring and even attacked several stars during their rampage. However, in a twist, WWE offered the Retribution members contracts and it seemed that T-Bar was their leader.

Ali changed all that up on Raw as he told Retribution to attack the Hurt Business. The high-flyer then stood in the middle of the ring as the lights went off and he celebrated with the faction.

Time to pay up?

While the original five members of Retribution haven’t been revealed, despite fans predicting that several NXT stars took up the role, it was a surprise seeing WWE name Ali as a member.

Ali wasn’t wearing a mask like the other members and it seems he will have to pay for some of Retribution’s misdeeds.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Ali in this role though. He should wear a mask, like the rest of the Retribution members, and get a new name too.

The former SmackDown star had another gimmick as the hacker on the Blue brand, but WWE just forgot about it completely.

This could be a redemption story arc for not only Ali but WWE too. They had wrecked Retribution when they first appeared by dragging the story for a while but things should become interesting now.
