Keith Lee has issued official statement after WWE release
Recently released WWE star Keith Lee has issued a statement on his birthday (8th November), touching upon his absence from the company and also talked about his medical bills. Lee was absent from WWE for nearly six months because of heart issues and Covid-19 battle.
Lee in released a statement over Twitter where he cleared the air and said:
“Greetings and salutations. This day is my birthday! It is not a happy birthday, but it is one I am most grateful for,” Lee wrote. “Several months ago, it was not a guarantee I would make it to this day, so there is positivity in that. I paid all my medical bills from the many offices and machines I frequented. There is positivity in that. And, I do find it amusing that people believe anyone but me paid for my medical expenses.”
“I was going to wait a couple weeks, but I think it’s time to look toward the future, forward march as I like to say. I’m capable of so much more and I can’t wait to see what it looks like properly. I have a wide array of interests and abilities…I also consider myself to be rather open minded. Here’s to a future that, for all intents and purposes….seems Limitless.”
Lee made it clear that he was the one who paid for his medical bills and not WWE. Often it is believed that WWE fund the medical expenses of the wrestlers, however, it seems like this is only when the wrestler suffers an injury while performing. The former WWE star also seemed to be optimistic as he talked about how he feels his future is limitless.
Why was Keith Lee released?
The reason for Lee’s release stems from the fact that the former WWE star had attitude problems, as per those in the WWE. It was revealed in recent reports that Lee had major attitude problems backstage and was always seen frustrated often because of the things he was asked to do.
It was revealed that Lee often had mood altercations way more than one should in the modern era. Lee will serve a non-compete until February and will aim to sign a promotional deal by the time his non-compete ends. However, it won’t be an easy task for him as the companies will most probably take note of his attitude problems.
