Kevin Nash blasts reports suggesting WWE wants to kill Ric Flair over Covid-19 testing

Kevin Nash says WWE is following strict Covid-19 protocols with several stars testing positive in the past few months

Several WWE stars have tested positive in the past year since Covid-19 first wreaked havoc across the globe.

The most recent victim of the virus is Drew McIntyre, who tested positive earlier this week. The Scotsman was scheduled to appear on WWE RAW but had to settle with giving his approval to Goldberg’s title challenge via video.

McIntyre’s case was the first time that the promotion addressed the virus in such an open manner. And Bully Ray, along with Dave LaGreca, believes that The Chosen One’s positive test could even be inserted into the storyline.

Nevertheless, WWE was one of the first organizations to fully resume its services amid a global lockdown.

This was possible due to the promotion following protocols strictly and stepping up testing as weeks passed by.

And now, former WWE wrestler Kevin Nash has lashed out a report by an outlet that questions the protocols taken by the promotion to deal with the virus, and even accuses them of trying to kill Ric Flair by their negligence.

The article questions if WWE is taking appropriate measures to test, trace, and isolate wrestlers who test positive. Moreover, it’s central point seems to be WWE not addressing the virus even once on the show in a clear manner.

Nevertheless, Big Daddy Diesel shut these accusations on Twitter account. Nash said:

“Saw this in a Google feed. The story says the @WWE doesn’t do a adequate job Covid testing. Complete bullshit. Everytime I’m involved I’ve been quarantined in a hotel room after being tested then brought to the arena. I was positive and sent directly to my home to quarantine”

While the promotion can do a better job in spreading awareness about Covid-19, it should be complimented for how it has internally dealt with. WWE continues to go on smoothly while a lot of other sports still struggle to deal with the virus.
