Kevin Owens wants to jump off the pirate ship at WWE WrestleMania 37
WWE superstar Kevin Owens is not yet confirmed to be on the WWE WrestleMania 37 match-card. But that hasn’t deterred his spirits.
He tweeted earlier this week that he intended to make the jump off the pirate ship at the Raymond James stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
It is the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and true to the name of the American football team, the stadium houses a giant pirate ship in the north end zone.
Owens wanted to jump off the ship at WrestleMania 36, but the Covid-19 pandemic meant that the PPV would take place at the WWE Performance Center behind closed doors.
And he has since kept emphasizing that he wants to pull off that stunt. Last year, he had to be content with jumping off the WrestleMania 36 sign in a big win against Seth Rollins.
Kevin Owens still uncertain if he will be at WrestleMania 37
But he hopes to make good on his promise this year. However, KO’s tweet would worry the fans and with just under 3 weeks to go until the event, his appearance at WrestleMania is still not confirmed.
He had a memorable feud with Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title just a few months ago and looked all set to be one of the main stars on the Blue brand.
But all of that can matter very little to WWE. A perfect match for him could be a tag-team involvement with Daniel Bryan, with the latter also not in any title fight for the event.
It is rumoured that Shane McMahon will instead make the jump off the ship in his match against Braun Strowman.
That is yet to be confirmed but the duo’s match was called off Fastlane and it can mean that WWE is saving a big match between them at WrestleMania which takes place on April 10 and 11.
