WWE Superstar Kevin Owens announces a time off from WWE after Hell in a Cell
SmackDown Superstar Kevin Owens took to social media to announce that he will be ‘taking a break’ after his Hell in a Cell match against Sami Zayn.
Owens announced on Twitter saying that he will be back soon and fought like hell during his brutal encounter with Zayn.
Owens was still facing the after effects of the Nigerian Nail by Commander Azeez on SmackDown. Azeez and Apollo Crews were feuding with Kevin Owens, before Zayn also joined the fray. WWE announced that Zayn and Owens would face each other at Hell in a Cell.
Owens did not look 100% during the match as he was struggling in between the fight. Zayn made the most of his weakened opponent to deliver a Helluva Kick to end the match.
He has been in big feuds since his return on SmackDown. Owens was also in the title picture against Roman Reigns with brutal matches at WWE TLC with stipulations. Reigns outlasted Owens in a Last Man Standing Match.
Despite his bookings, Owens battled it out every week to perform to his best levels on SmackDown. It is not known as to how long will be he out before making a return inside the ring.
After his hiatus, Kevin Owens will be eager to return soon in a storyline feud. He has unfinished business with the duo of Azeez and Crews. The former Universal Champion will be hoping to make things right when he makes his return eventually.
Another possibility is battling his long time friend Zayn. The duo faced each other in a tough Hell in a Cell match, but Zayn made the most of a jaded Owens. They made their entrances into WWE together in 2014 and have never looked back.
Owens is also worthy of being in the Championship picture, after his feud with Reigns. He gave Reigns a run for his money and knocked him down on various occasions, despite eventually coming out of it without the gold.
One thing is for sure that the WWE Universe will be eager to have Owens back as soon as possible.
