Kevin Owens may move to AEW soon as his WWE contract expires

WWE superstar Kevin Owens might be heading towards AEW as his WWE contract is going to expire soon. The speculation about Owens leaving WWE began when Owens tweeted some coordinates to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

He also changed the bio location in his Twitter account to “Almost there,” which might reference the Mount Rushmore coordinates, which was deleted from his Twitter account.

Kevin Owens was in the faction called Mount Rushmore with Adam Cole and AEW World Tag-Team Champions The Young Bucks. But Owens left the stable when he signed with WWE in 2014. 

Owens is now present in the SmackDown brand of WWE and defeated Corbin in the last SmackDown episode.

However, reports have suggested that Owens’ contract ends in early 2022.

Many superstars are leaving WWE

In recent times, we have seen that many current and ex WWE superstars are going to AEW.

From WWE, superstars like Christian Cage to Daniel Bryan have gone to AEW. After retiring from WWE, Christian went to AEW and won the AEW World Championship, not only him wrestlers like Kenny Omega, Miro, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D, and even the legendary STING.

CM Punk is now All Elite (AEW)

The recent AEW All Out PPV saw Adam Cole and WWE superstar Daniel Bryan making their debut and former WWE female star Ruby Soho winning the Casino Battle Royale. 

The biggest return news came when former WWE superstar CM Punk made his return to pro wrestling after seven long years and chose AEW over WWE.
