WWE superstar Kevin Owens contract updated with an exciting clause
Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens re-signing to WWE has been the talk of the wrestling world at the moment. Owens WWE contract has recently reached its expiry date, and he even referenced it on RAW a few weeks ago.
Now it has been revealed that Kevin was offered a lucrative contract, and the company went out of their way to hand him a good deal, one that AEW couldn’t match, which shows that WWE wants Owens to be a part of the roster for more years.
A Reddit user pointed out that Sean Ross Sapp said on a Fightful Q & A on Youtube that Owens latest WWE contract doesn’t include a “No-Cut” clause.
The company has recently proved with Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman that no one is safe from releases no matter how big a star they are or how good their name value is, or how much merchandise they sell.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE signed a new deal with Owens and reached a successful agreement with the star. Retaining Owens was a significant priority for WWE as there has been a lot of speculation about Owens going to AEW.
“Kevin Owens re-signs with WWE as first reported by @SeanRossSapp. I can add that WWE felt strongly in keeping Owens & wanted to get this deal done for a while now. I’d imagine KO will remain part of the main event scene going forward.”
Bray Wyatt was one of the most shocking releases of WWE since 2020. However, he was one of the most significant merchandise sales and had a good name value.
So, Kevin will be part of the mega event coming soon for WWE on the 1st day of the year.
