Kofi Kingston is known for his Royal Rumble saves but Kacy Catanzaro impressed the former champion

The Royal Rumble means Kofi Kingston pulling off an incredible move to stay in the competition.

The former WWE Champion has jumped off steps, landed on other stars and used pancakes to avoid elimination in the special match.

Every year sees a new style of save from Kingston, but the high-flyer was left impressed by the antics of Kacy Catanzaro on NXT.

The former America Ninja Warrior finalist is making waves on NXT. While the 30-year-old is yet to win a title on the promotion, she had the chance to challenge Io Shirai for the NXT crown.

Catanzaro was part of a huge Battle Royal to decide the No.1 contender. She was able to use some of her ninja skills to avoid elimination once, and that caught the attention of Kingston

Catanzaro not only balanced herself with her hands, she smartly used the ropes as leverage and pulled herself up.

The 30-year-old was unable to get the win, but getting praise from Kingston certainly got her excited.

An inspiration”

Catanzaro was quick to highlight the great work done by Kingston over the years and claimed he was an inspiration for her:

“I’m honored to have some of my stuff compared to your incredible moments!! Such an inspiration!”

It will be interesting to see what is next for her and her partner Kayden Carter.

They seem to have started a rivalry with Xia Li and Jessi Kamea but that was put aside for the Battle Royal.

WWE seems to have found another quality star to push, and Catanzaro is as tough as they come. She was the first woman to complete a City Finals course on America Ninja Warrior and should probably carry that ninja moniker in WWE.
