Konnan compared the impact that Roman Reigns and CM Punk have had this year
During the latest episode of the “Keeping” It 100 podcast (h/t EWrestling News), Konnan was asked about who was more influential these days, Roman Reigns or CM Punk.
He said that CM Punk was influential for a month or so, but mainly Roman Reigns. He also mentioned that Reigns maintained a great storyline over a year, and his aura can only defeat his aura. Konnan also referred that Reigns has been an ambassador of the game for WWE.
“I think that for one night or one month, CM Punk was. For the whole year, what Roman has been able to do, increase ratings, increase buzz, maintain a great storyline for over a year with different guys, get an aura about him that only The Rock’s probably gonna defeat. I think he’s been way more influential.”
Both CM Punk and Roman Reigns has been tremendous over a year
CM Punk returned to pro-wrestling after seven years on the 20th edition of AEW Rampage and has fought a great battle against Darby Allin.
Whereas Reigns has not been defeated even once in a PPV match while defending his title. He has held the WWE Universal Champion for 434 days and is very close to breaking Brock Lesnar’s record.
Both Punk and Reigns have their share of influence this year. Recently Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar in the Crown Jewel PPV In Saudi Arabia, whereas Punk will be facing Powerhouse Hobbs, a member of Team Taz on AEW Rampage.
