Kurt Angle joined WWE after winning gold in the Olympics (WWE)

Kurt Angle has something brewing in the WWE and hence has no plans of going to AEW.

Staying loyal to the game – Angle put an end to all the rumours afloat that he will soon be plying his trade in the All-Elite Wrestling (AEW).

The 1996 Summer Olympics Freestyle Wrestling gold-medalist has been an integral part of the WWE since time immemorial.

Since being released by the promotion on the 15th of April 2020 due to budget cuts stemming from the coronavirus pandemic, Angle appeared once again on the 29th of May in an episode of Smackdown. He announced the arrival of Matt Riddle to the brand.

Angle was then offered a new deal by the WWE to be the manager of Matt Riddle, which he refused since he wanted to concentrate on his nutrition business.

Amidst all this, rumours began circulating that ‘The American Hero’ might make a switch to the AEW as he did in 2006 (he moved from WWE to TNA Impact).

And, more recently he clarified this in an interview with The Hannibal TV that he hasn’t spoken much to the concerned people of AEW, adding that he has something going on with the WWE.

Here is what the ‘Wrestling Machine’ had to say on this:

“My relationship with WWE is really good and I like to keep it that way. I don’t have any plans of going to AEW. I haven’t really spoken to them much. Just a couple of messages back and forth and nothing serious. I have something going on with WWE right now and it most likely will materialize, can’t talk about it. That’s what I am waiting on and I don’t want to mess that up. The company has been so good to me and I want to be loyal to them.”

Kurt Angle reveals the best match he has ever wrestled in

Kurt Angle recently revealed the best match that he has ever wrestled in – it was at the 2003 Royal Rumble against the late Chris Benoit.

Speaking in the latest episode of the Kurt Angle show, King Kurt exclaimed that the match had it all, right from false finishes to perfectly executed submission trade-offs.

Angle then said that he didn’t know how good of a match it was until he watched it back.

A bustling Angle said:

“I didn’t know how good it was until I watched it back, and I was like, ‘Holy crap, this is the best match I’ve ever wrestled in.’ And to this day, it still rings true.” [H/T The Kurt Angle Show and 411Mania.com]
