Kurt Angle speaks on possible shoot fight with Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle squared of in the ring a couple of times back in the day. However, a possible shoot fight which was a possibility never happened. Angle recently talked about why it never happened. He revealed on his podcast the Kurt Angle Show:
“No, I wouldn’t wanna fight Brock Lesnar, out of respect for him, and the friendship we had, ya know? If the money were right, I know he would want to fight me. I also know I would want to fight him too, because it is all about money. Sometimes it kind of sucks, ya know, you can’t take that personally. You’re trying to provide money to take care of them and that comes first before friendship. So, I’m sure Brock Lesnar and I if they would’ve given us the right dollar amount we probably would’ve went at it.”
It seems like Angle was not interested in fighting Lesnar but would’ve done it if the right money came up. Angle also opened up on not wanting to fight him because of the friendship they had but money would’ve changed that.
A shoot fight between them would’ve been really interesting. A shoot fight is basically a unscripted or unplanned fight. In easier terms a real fight within a wrestling event. It’s like a wrestler who breaks out of character and the scripted event goes out of hand.
A shoot fight would’ve certainly been interesting between Lesnar and Angle. Sadly, we will never get to witness it between these legends. However, Lesnar is still a part of the WWE and we will see him action soon against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.
