WWE Hall of Famer made a comparison between Kenny Omega and Rey Mysterio
WWE Legend Kurt Angle recently spoke on The Kurt Angle Show (h/t Ringside News) about Kenny Omega’s skill as a professional wrestler and compared him to WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio.
Angle praised Kenny Omega for what he has done in the independent wrestling circuits worldwide, and his legacy will go down in history if he never enters WWE.
He mentioned that he had not seen a talent like him in a long time. Kurt added that he is as talented as Mysterio and one of the most outstanding workers in the industry.
“What he’s been able to do the past ten years in wrestling, over in Japan, here in the United States, he was the biggest star and the most talented superstar that never went to WWE. He will go down in history as that if he never does enter WWE. His success, what he’s had in Japan and AEW, is phenomenal. I haven’t seen a talent like him in a long time. I would say he’s every bit as talented as Rey Mysterio, and he belongs on that upper echelon of talents. One of the greatest workers in the business today.”
Kenny also recently quoted about Kurt Angle being his most influential superstars and how much he admires Angle.
Kenny Omega is one of the biggest stars in the industry today
Omega has been tremendous throughout his career and needs no introduction. He is known as Belt Collector, having won all the world championship titles across several promotions from Japan to the U.S.A.
Kenny made a name for himself with his incredible matches against top wrestlers like Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi in NJPW and on AEW, where he was the AEW World Champion. He has been regarded as one of the all-time greats by the fans.
He was recently defeated by Adam Page at AEW Full Gear where he lost his AEW World Championship.
