Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle set to return at the company
Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle is looking to return to WWE after a long time. Recently in his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, he revealed that “the company wants him to be involved in the show for next month”.
Here is what Angle had to say:
“They (WWE) want me to be involved in the show for the next month or so. I’m really excited about it, so we’ll see what’s in store for me.”
Kurt Angle was in St.Louis, where the Royal Rumble took place. He is a part of the AdFreeShows roster, hosting live shows.
During his podcast show, The Kurt Angle show, Angle revealed how much weight he had put on and how it has taken a toll on him physically.
“I gained a lot of weight during this pandemic. I got up to 260, and I got my butt down to 210 pounds, so I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in even before the Olympics as far as looks, not on a conditioning level or a strength level.
“Being out of wrestling the past few years, especially during the pandemic, I had a lot of physical problems. I had many problems from not doing anything, not working out as much as I did, sitting all the time, nothing to do, and being stuck at home.
“I started to have a lot of back pain and knee pain, and it got to the point where I was like, I probably won’t wrestle again.”
Angle has been a former Raw General Manager, and it will be interesting to see in what role he returns to the show.
