Kurt Angle might not wrestle in the AEW unless he is paid this massive sum
The last time Kurt Angle made an in-ring professional wrestling appearance, was April 2019. The WWE Hall of Famer was feuding with Baron Corbin back then, as he was one of Angle’s handpicked opponents in his career’s twilight.
Angle lost to Corbin at WrestleMania 35, and eventually attacked him on Raw after WrestleMania. Angle, in turn, was attacked by Lars Sullivan who was making his Raw debut.
After that, Angle took up a backstage role as a producer.
He was eventually released on the 15th of April in 2020, as a part of the budget cut. However, he did return as a special guest referee next month, while also announcing the arrival of Matt Riddle to SmackDown.
Angle then turned down a deal from the promotion that would have seen him renew his contract.
Now that WWE’s rivals, AEW have been roping in big names, especially from WWE themselves, Angle spoke about the possibility of wrestling in the AEW.
Although, Angle sounded interested in the idea of wrestling in the AEW, he revealed how much the promotion would have to pay him to make him wrestle in one match. He also named Kenny Omega as the opponent he would probably take on.
On the latest episode of the Kurt Angle Show, Angle said:
“If they paid me $10 million, I would do one more match. I’ll wrestle Kenny [Omega] for $10 million. I’ll get my ass kicked.” [via Wrestling Inc]
Angle who has had a fair share of crippling injuries throughout the course of his career, revealed that his wife would never let him wrestle again, while also explaining how scared he was of her.
The American Hero said:
“Mrs. Angle [would kick my ass], I’m more scared of her than anybody else. I wouldn’t be able to tell her, there’s no way she would let me do it. She would lock all the doors from the outside.” [via Wrestling Inc]
