Kurt Angle opens up about his equation with former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar
Kurt Angle has revealed that Brock Lesnar isn’t the kind of guy who socialises much with people and keeps to himself.
In an episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, he talks about Lesnar saying: (h/t Wrestling Inc)
“It’s always been see you when I see you. Brock isn’t much of a social butterfly so calling him and saying ‘How are you? What’s going on in your life, how’s your family?’ Brock’s not really into that stuff so if you call him, you’re most likely going to get an answering machine.”
Angle also revealed that his unit of friends included Brock Lesnar, Big Show, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin and that he hung out with them the most.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise through his in-ring character. His advocate, Paul Heyman performs superb promos while Lesnar keeps the talking to a minimum. He has also never been comfortable in front of the microphone.
Meanwhile, Angle and Lesnar have been part of the WWE title scene together feuding at WrestleMania XIX. Lesnar won the match and went on to become WWE champion. He has since then become one of the most dominant men in WWE history. Angle is a WWE Hall of Famer and has been out of wrestling since his WrestleMania 35 loss to Baron Corbin.
Lesnar is not part of the WWE scene for over a year now. He last relinquished his WWE title to Drew McIntyre who beat him at WrestleMania 36. Since then, there have been various reports about his return, but it seems he will not be seen till the end of the year.
He was touted to return at SummerSlam in August to face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. But, it now seems that his return is going to be delayed towards the end of 2021.
MVP also called Lesnar out saying that he ‘fears’ the All-Mighty and is afraid of returning. The Beast Incarnate will be looking to return to WWE soon and win back his long lost gold.
