WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle fondly remembers slamming women superstars during the Attitude Era of the 2000s
Kurt Angle was one of the most prominent stars in WWE history and was a part of the famous “Attitude Era.”
This Era saw no limitations, from intergender bouts to truck attacks and trash-talking at its very best. In addition, the Era saw former WWE Champion Kurt Angle slamming some of the women superstars at that time, including Hall of Famer Mae Young.
Recently Angle took to Twitter and shared a video remembering those days of slamming the ladies. In the video, he can be seen Angle slamming WWE Hall of Famer Lita.

Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle performed Angle Slam on Mae Young
During an episode of Raw in February 2000, Angle squared off against Mark Henry, who was in an on-screen relationship with Mae Young. Unfortunately, young involved in the contest and was trying hard to interface, got hit by the Angle Slam.
Kurt Angle, on his podcast “The Kurt Angle Show”, talked about how Young approached him before going to the ring and even asked him to hit the move as hard as possible. Angle had all the praise for her and even said that she was incredible.
He was quoted as saying:
“I’ll tell you a quick story. So before we had it out, we were in Gorilla Position, and Mae Young comes up to me and says, ‘Mr. Angle, I want to tell you what I want you to do to me tonight.’ I said, ‘Okay, Mae.’ She said, ‘I want you to spike my a** as hard as you can into the mat.’ I want you to Angle Slam me as hard as you possibly can.’ I was like, ‘Okay, Mae, if that’s what you want, I’ll do it.” The crazy thing is, when I was doing it, I’m thinking, if I slam this woman, she is going to end up coming up as dust. I mean, she was 82 years old; I’m like, what the hell am I doing slamming this woman? She could literally die.”
